SlotAlert ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and encrypted password when you create an account.
• Watcher preferences: The sites you choose to monitor, alert preferences, and notification settings.
• Usage data: When watchers were checked, when slots were found, error logs for debugging.
• Payment data: Payments are processed by Paddle. We never see or store your credit card details.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not track your browsing history outside of appointment sites you explicitly ask us to monitor.
• We do not store government website login credentials in plain text — they are encrypted.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To check appointment websites on your behalf and send you alerts.
• To manage your subscription and account.
• To send you email alerts when appointment slots are found (only if you enable email alerts).
• To send SMS alerts when slots are found (only if you enable SMS alerts).

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit.

5. Third Party Services

• Paddle — payment processing. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• SendGrid — email delivery. See SendGrid's Privacy Policy.
• Twilio — SMS delivery (Pro plans only). See Twilio's Privacy Policy.
• Railway — server hosting. See Railway's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us at slotalertsupport@gmail.com. We will delete all your data within 30 days of your request.

• Export your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Chrome Extension Permissions

SlotAlert requests the following Chrome permissions:

• Storage: Save your watcher settings and preferences locally.
• Alarms: Schedule periodic checks of appointment websites.
• Notifications: Show alerts when appointment slots are found.
• Tabs: Open the booking page when a slot is found.
• Scripting: Read appointment availability from pages you ask us to monitor.
• Host permissions: Access the specific government websites you choose to watch.
